Hey everybody, it’s time to get caught up with my thoughts on some of the movies I’ve seen in the past few weeks. Did The Creator fire me up? Did Once Within a Time make me feel eternal? Did Dicks: The Musical do exactly what it said on the tin?

If The Creator created anything, it was the space in my head for me to go see something like Once Within a Time. (Pretty visuals, though.) Once Within is the latest documentary (?) from Godfrey Reggio, who’s best known for the time-lapse montage Koyaanisqatsi. I’m not sure how to interpret his latest! There’s nothing else quite like it on movie screens right now, at least.

A couple of Dicks? (CREDIT: A24)

Dicks: The Musical certainly exists within a very specific time. Does that mean I’ll keep my memories of the sewer boys locked away forever in the 2023 file folder of my brain? Or will I keep that window open in the years to come? It’s a split decision for now, as it’ll probably depend on how much I talk about it with literally anyone else.
