The man of our dreams (CREDIT: A24)

They keep making new movies, and some of them are even worth watching. Here’s what’s at the top of the slate for November 2023:

Dream Scenario: Nicolas Cage plays a guy who keeps inexplicably appearing in other people’s dreams. And yes, there is Freddy Krueger-based imagery in the trailer.

The Dream Scenario is that it will arrive in theaters on November 10.

May December: An actress (Natalie Portman) prepares for her role as a woman with a much younger husband by following the real couple (Julianne Moore, Charles Melton) around, twenty years after their romance rocked the tabloids. So basically, a Lifetime movie with Oscar aspirations. It looks kinda trippy.

May December will play in a few theaters beginning on November 17 and then drop on Netflix December 1.

Thanksgiving: Every holiday deserves its own iconic horror movie. Is Eli Roth up to the task of pulling that off for Turkey Day?

It will be Thanksgiving in movie theaters six days before actual Thanksgiving, i.e., November 17.
