Just a couple of May Decembers (CREDIT: Netflix)
As I catch up with my thoughts about some of the movies I’ve seen recently, I did my damnedest to find some sort of common ground between Priscilla, May December, and The Marvels. And well, as it turns out, they’re all about female protagonists entering into relationships that turn out to be more intense than they reckoned for. Thus I can’t help but ask myself, would I like to take their places in any of these relationships?

Dating a rock star might be fun, but it would have to be more grounded than it is with Elvis to meet my specifications. As for a history of jail time? Total red flag alert! But shooting into space with my new best buds? There’s a reason why Iman Vellani is beaming from ear to ear all the time.
Grades:
Priscilla: Big Chaperone Energy
May December: The Music Was Exactly What I’d Hoped It Would Be
The Marvels: Sufficiently Intergalactic
