They keep making new movies, and some of them are even worth watching. Here’s what’s at the top of the slate for August 2024:

Trap: The latest from M. Night Shyamalan! Will Josh Hartnett be just as evil as he appears to be in the trailers? I wouldn’t mind a twisty revelation.

We’ll all be Trapped in movie theaters on August 2.

Borderlands: I’ve never played any of the Borderlands video games, but the trailer for the Eli Roth-directed adaptation looks kinda fun. Arianna Greenblatt and Jack Black especially appear to be having a blast.

We’ll reach the Borderlands in theaters on August 9.

Cuckoo: Hunter Schafer is kinda killing it right now. This time she’s freaking out about Dan Stevens and all the supernatural goings-on in a German mountain town.

Movie theaters will be going Cuckoo on August 9.
