Well, here we go, this is the space where I’m going to talk about the commercials that aired during the American broadcast of Super Bowl LIX. I’ve been doing this sort of roundup for a while now, but I don’t know if I’m going to keep doing it forever. It’s kind of overwhelming! Or maybe I just feel that way right now because I’m getting over a cold. We’ll see what I’m thinking a year from now. In the meantime, here’s what I have to say about 2025’s Big Game crop:

There are always plenty of famous celebrities, and every once in a while, they maintain their persona perfectly. Which is why the Totino’s ad with Chazmo was my #1, as it felt like it really could have been a legit I Think You Should Leave sketch!

Did you notice that there was one commercial with flying eyebrows and another with flying mustaches? Detachable Facial Hair is so hot right now.

A Red Bull commercial with penguins? To quote Britta Perry, “Duh doy!”

The award for Most Rollercoaster-esque Emotional Journey goes to the breast cancer screening ad.

Can someone please give me a Reese’s Chocolate Lava for Valentine’s Day? (Warning: I will interpret that as a marriage proposal.)

Also the Muppets stopped by, and that was Muppet-riffic of them.
