In this feature, I look back at each day of the past week and determine what shows “won TV” for the night. That is, I consider every episode of television I watched that aired on a particular day and declare which was the best.

Sunday – The Good Wife/Mr. Pickles
Monday – Mike Tyson Mysteries
Tuesday – New Girl
Wednesday – Gravity Falls
Thursday – The Eric Andre Show
Friday – Comedy Bang! Bang!
Saturday – SNL Vintage, despite some mid-00’s overly broadness

Sunday – The Good Wife
Monday – American Dad!
Tuesday – New Girl
Wednesday – The Middle had the best episode of the night, but Key & Peele‘s “Aerobics Meltdown” was 4 minutes of sketch comedy bliss.
Thursday – One of Jeopardy!‘s most competitive Tournament of Champions matches ever.
Friday – The Birthday Boys
Saturday – The new SNL was great, and there was also a classic vintage SNL, but Hello Ladies: The Movie successfully concluded its story.

Thursday – I disagree with Lauren Conrad; I say “yep” to The Eric Andre Show.
Friday – “I can’t even begin” to explain what made Whose Line is it Anyway? so funny.
Saturday – Vintage SNL, with 5-timer Drew Barrymore and Body Fuzion. Woody on new SNL was also great.

Sunday – The Good Wife
Monday – Jeopardy!
Tuesday – New Girl
Wednesday – “We’re gonna need a bigger boat,” because as Key & Peele reminded us, Reginald VelJohnson is a real, fucking actor!
Thursday – Tim and Eric’s Bedtime Stories
Friday – Comedy Bang! Bang!
Saturday – Doctor Who, but only because I was already so familiar with the cowbell and census goodness delivered up by Vintage SNL.

Sunday – The civil forfeiture segment on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver was possibly the show’s best so far.
Monday – Jeopardy!, with some crazy editing
Tuesday – The Flash
Wednesday – Key & Peele
Thursday – Tim and Eric’s Bedtime Stories – come on, Scotty.
Friday – Whose Line is it Anyway?
Saturday – Vintage SNL (with plenty of Jan Hooks). Doctor Who and new SNL were great, too, but I have been watching the B-52’s performance of “Channel Z” over and over.

Friday – Jeopardy!
Saturday – SNL, but Vintage – it’s your funeral!

Sunday – Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
Monday – Jeopardy!
Tuesday – New Girl
Wednesday – The Goldbergs (though the Gay Marriage Advice sketch from Key & Peele was the best scene of the night)
Thursday – Parenthood (though toes plopping out of Bob Odenkirk’s stomach deserves special mention)
Friday – Jeopardy!, playing for the tie
Saturday – Saturday Night Live, both vintage and new
