If I’m going to hit the high seas, would I rather be joined by a Megalodon or a Dracula? That’s the conundrum I faced while seeing Meg 2: The Trench and The Last Voyage of the Demeter on back-to-back days. Quite frankly, neither option appeared all that promising. The trip with the famous bloodsucker had too many chilly rainstorms, while the encounter with the big shark tasted kind of bland. There was some mighty fine diction on board the Demeter, though. I can certainly appreciate keeping a captain’s log! I’ll just have to make sure to pack plenty of Dramamine.
Grades:
Meg 2: Asleep in the Trench
Demeter: Burning Up a Bit
