They keep making new movies, and some of them are even worth watching. Here’s what’s at the top of the slate for October 2026:

Verity: Anne Hathaway plays the titular incapacitated writer, while Dakota Johnson plays another writer hired to help her finish a book series. Josh Hartnett also stars. It’s based on a Colleen Hoover novel, although the trailer is giving more Freida McFadden vibes.

Truly, Verity will be in theaters on October 2.

Other Mommy: Jessica Chastain plays the mother of a little girl, as well as a supernatural creature who looks just like her. What a wonderful concept for a horror movie!

You can visit Other Mommy in theaters October 9.

Wicker: Olivia Colman is a lovelorn lady who hires a weaver played by Peter Dinklage to make her a husband out of the titular material. The role of the wicker man is being filled by Alexander Skarsgård, so this one should be fun and sexy.
