Jeff “jmunney” Malone watches every new episode of Saturday Night Live and then reviews all the sketches and segments according to a “wacky” theme.

Well, if they insist, I’m happy to keep watching them debut new comedy sketches live from New York City on Saturday night. To clarify, I’m currently talking about the NBC television program Saturday Night Live, specifically the tenth episode of the 51st season, featuring host Finn Wolfhard and musical guest A$AP Rocky. The former is best-known for the Netflix series Stranger Things, which I famously have not watched beyond Season 1, despite having some desire to catch up. As for the latter (frequently also referred to by certain jokesters as “As Soon as Possible Rocky”), he’s got a very new album that I’ve been listening to, as well as a co-star in common with his host. Furthermore, before watching this episode, I wondered if some of his other funny recent co-stars might be inclined to make a cameo. Let’s find out!

For my Review Gimmick, I shall be returning to an oldie but a goodie of Transcribing the Notes I Took While Watching the Episode.

Wow, would you look at that? For the 9th episode of the 51st season of Saturday Night Live, we’ve got Ariana Grande as host and the one and only Cher as musical guest. I appreciate this reality we’re living in. At least this little slice of it.

As this is the last new episode before the 25th, and I’ve been in a particularly festive mood this holiday season, my reviewing gimmick for this episode will consist of saying “Merry Christmas” to whatever aspect of each sketch most deserves it.

Thank you for visiting this Saturday Night Live Review Space once again. In this edition, we’re dissecting the eighth episode of the 51st season. It was another British Invasion, as England natives Josh O’Connor and Lily Allen formed the guest lineup.

For my Reviewing Gimmick this time, I’ll be taking inspiration from the upcoming new SpongeBob movie. Thus, my take on each segment will be Bikini Bottom-themed as I utilize Mr. SquarePants’ signature declaration and declare what I’m Ready for from each sketch.

Will this be a December to remember? Well, laughter is often associated with memory, so hopefully SNL Season 51 will do its part to make its answer to that question a resounding “yes!” We have our first set of evidence in this regard in terms of the Melissa McCarthy-hosted December 6, 2025 episode, with musical guest Dijon. This is Ms. McCarthy’s 6th time hosting, but it’s my first time using a new reviewing gimmick, as I will assess where each sketch and segment should be categorized on the pH Scale. That is to say: I’ll be determining if they’re more acidic (less than 7) or more basic (greater than 7, up to 14). Am I being metaphorical here? Let’s find out!

Jeff “jmunney” Malone watches every new episode of Saturday Night Live and then reviews all the sketches and segments according to a “wacky” theme.

Since this is my last time reviewing SNL before November 27, 2025, I shall now say: Happy Thanksgiving! I know my fans expect me to wish them a festive Turkey Day, and I simply can’t disappoint.

Back to the sketches and the variety, this particular episode that I’m reviewing right now boasts host Glen Powell and musical guest Olivia Dean. This represents the first time for both of them in those official capacities, marking the second episode in a row in which that was the case. I’m pretty sure that’s not the first time that has happened in the show’s history.

Since Glen is currently starring in The Running Man, and I’ve been known for plenty of running myself, the reviewing gimmick for this episode will involve me incorporating Running into my thoughts on each sketch and segment. So for example, I might say, “Run, don’t walk, to YouTube to watch this sketch”, or “This sketch really had my motor running.”

Did everyone survive Halloween okay? Well, you must have, if you’re conscious enough to read these words! Lol. Anyway, thank you once again for visiting this little corner of the Internet where I review episodes of Saturday Night Live. This particular review is focusing on the fifth episode of the fifty-fifth season, with a couple of first-time guests in the form of host Nikki Glaser and musical guest sombr. She’s been active in the comedy community for about two decades, while he’s been active on the Earth for less time than she’s been alive. So there should be something in here for everybody!

For the review gimmick for this episode, I shall return to an old favorite and transcribe the notes I wrote in my notebook while watching.

Welcome to November, readers of my Saturday Night Live reviews! For this edition, we’ve got a couple of mainstays of 2020s SNL for our guest lineup, with Miles Teller making his second hosting appearance since 2022 and Brandi Carlile hitting her fourth time as musical g., just a little over four years since her first.

Since this episode began airing the evening after Halloween, I would imagine that plenty of us were still in a spooky mood. Ergo, I shall be reviewing this episode by declaring what The Scariest Part of each sketch was.

Chop, chop, chop!

I said that because Sabrina Carpenter just fulfilled Double Duty on Saturday Night Live! (We would have also accepted a reference to Jesus Christ.) Anyway, she seems to have gotten really comfortable at Studio 8H the last few years. And I’m perfectly okay with that!

Since Sabrina is from the same county in Pennsylvania as me, the theme of this episode review is going to be “The Keystone.” Pennsylvania is nicknamed the Keystone State, ergo I shall identify the most key(stone) aspect of each sketch.
