They keep making new movies, and some of them are even worth watching. Here’s what’s at the top of the slate for September 2026:

Fall 2: Deadpoint: The first Fall stuck a couple of daredevil friends on top of a 2,000-foot TV tower. The sequel maroons a new pair of friends on a plank on the side of a mountain 3,000 feet up in the air. I can’t wait to see how they survive (or don’t)!

Fall 2: Deadpoint drops into theaters on September 2.

Resident Evil: Wow, there sure have been a whole bunch of movies based on Capcom’s zombie-fighting video game series. But this latest Resident Evil differentiates itself as the first one to be directed by Zach Cregger. His Weapons star Austin Abrams plays a medical courier.

The History of Concrete: John Wilson is known for his droll documentary filmmaking style, in which his initial, ostensible focus branches off into unpredictable, tangential directions. The History of Concrete sounds like a feature-length version of that, as it reportedly begins with Wilson attending a workshop about Hallmark movies.

The History of Concrete can be studied in movie theaters beginning September 18.
