It’s Emmy Monday!!! Since I am a hopeless devotee of the boob tube, I do indeed make sure to annually view the presentation of the Primetime Emmy Awards. And along with that viewing tradition, I also enjoy making predictions of the winners in the major categories, along with my selections of whom I would vote for if I were a member of the TV Academy.
Now, I haven’t watched every single nominated program, so in some cases, my preference might be for a nominee that I believe would give an entertaining acceptance speech, as opposed to necessarily who I thought was the best at making quality television in the past year.
Anyway, we’ll all find out together how it goes down when Mariska Hargitay emcees the ceremony on Monday, September 14 on NBC and Peacock.

Nate Bargatze will be hosting for CBS (and Paramount+) on the evening of Sunday, September 14, as those trophies for televisual excellence are handed out. Happy June, Fellow TV Lovers. It’s Emmy Wish List Season! The ballots are ready to be perused by Academy of Television Arts & Science members (as well as members of the public), as we eagerly await the announcement of nominations on July 15.
I’ve assembled a few of my favorites from the 2024-25 season that I would love to see honored on TV’s biggest night. And as with my Wishlist from last year, I’ll be focusing on the less-heralded shows and performances that could really use the support. They may not be getting a ton of buzz, but I love them just as much as they deserve to be loved.
